Concept maps
These are conceptual maps that show what our current legislative districts could look like if they would have been drawn based on the following criteria:
- Keep communities of interest together
- Compactness
- Respect known political boundaries
- Prohibit use of partisan information
Congressional District Map
In the existing map, 12 counties have two or more Congressional districts. In the concept map, only two counties have more than one Congressional district. Also In the existing map, 20 townships have two or more Congressional districts. In the concept map, two townships have more than one Congressional district. |

House District Map
In the existing map, 71 counties are intersected by house district lines. In the concept map, only 46 counties are intersected. Townships are respected in the concept map. |

Senate District Map
In the existing map, 48 counties were bisected by senate district lines. In the concept map, only 29 counties are bisected. In the existing map, 44 counties have a single senator. In the concept map, 63 counties have a single senator. |
